DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 3 (Three) Connecticut Column & Conice weight driven shelf. (1) F. C. Andrews, 3 Cortlandt St., NY, 30 hours, time and strike, c1850. (2) Birge & Fuller, Bristol with overpaste of James Smith, Brandywine, Rokeby [Penn], 8 days, time and strike, c1846. (3) S.C. Spring & Co, Bristol, Conn., 8 days, time and strike,, c1860
CONDITION:
1) Mahogany case retains some original finish and has several veneer chips on the left hand side, old wooden dial has been repainted, mirror and bottom glass are original but are flaking. The label originally had an overpaste of (sic) & Gerrish, now mostly missing. Ht 28". (2) Mahogany case retains some original finish and has veneer chips in multiple locations, original painted wooden dial has significant horizontal paint loss, center mirror is original as is the nice Fenn glass in the bottom door. Ht 32 3/4" (3) Mahogany case unique style to S. C. Spring with Birge & Fuller style movement. The gilt on the columns is mostly absent and there is flaking to the original tablet and dial. There are no weights or pendulum bob. Ht 30"
